Lexmark products are outstanding!!
Having always been a fan of HP, I was a bit hesitant when I purchased my first Lexmark printer, but their products came highly recommended and I took the plunge. Needless to say I've been extremely happy with the quailty and ease of use of both my printers (the first is 6 years young and counting - without a single glitch) and the accessories. I always purchase the high yield ink cartridges for my printers due to the amount of work the machines receive and they are worth every penny. Saving money and the longer life of the refills are important factors, so the combination of high yield and multiple cartridge packages when available, makes for a truly top-notch buy. You won't be unhappy with anything Lexmark. BTW, thanks again to Amazon for always offering superlative pricing and service!!

Nice To Not Have To Buy Printer Ink All The Time
I only purchased my Lexmark Prospect Pro 205 All In One Inkjet Printer from Amazon in Jan/2010. It came with 4 XL inkjet cartridges, which Iam still using now in May/2010. So, I have not replaced any inkjet cartridges for this printer as of yet, but I did buy this XL black inkjet cartridge just in case. I didn't want to run the risk of running out of black ink when I had a printing job.I do keep a pretty close watch on my ink status. Iam using more black ink than colored. I like that Lexmark allows you to control how much ink you use. I have my printer set on the Quick Print Setting, which seems to be working out fine for text, and the occasional picture that is included with the text. I would not use that setting if I wanted to print a regular photo.So, Iam saving on ink using my printer in that way too. You will use more ink if you set your printer on the other settings, so be aware of that. I had to send in a bunch of paperwork, and still did it in...

great price for Ink Cartridges: must factor in when buying a printer!
yep. there is no escaping it, the hardware often looks cheap and then you are hit with the ink costs. In this case, we were totally surprised on how cheap this cost and how long it lasted compared with our old HP printer. We love our Lexmark printer, so if you are seeking a new printer/scanner/ etc then make sure you factor in the cost of the ink. With Amazon, it always makes sense to check out the prices too. Very easy to install and there is a return envelope for used ink cartridges: very green. There are also ink kits to add ink to your cartridge, which Amazon sells and we will try this as another way to be green to the environment and will update this review.

Bought for Pro 901/905 Lexmark series.
I wanted to stock up on some ink because I have two lexmark printers that actually use this ink. and the ... Luckily both of the printers use the same ink, and I didn't find a better then Amazon. I looked on google, best buy, lexmark, buy, newegg, well you can pretty much name them and no one had the better pricing.

100XL Ink Cartridge
It just seems like the manufacturer's product (OEM) always works better than the after-market items I purchase for printers. This ink is no different. It provides sharp, crisp copies and photos. The black ink is dirt-cheap, but alas they do make up for it with the price of colored ink -- what's new?

So far So good
I was out of cyan and magenta ink, but the printer won't print without replacing (even if you only want to print in black--UUGGGHHH!!!) Anyway, the packaging was perfect. Everything worked out well. At first I was scared because it took about 5 attempts before my printer would read the magenta ink. I wanted 100xl, but the reviews on this one looked better. Good investment if you have to buy the ink.

105XL for pro 901
Lots of confusion on 100XL and 105XL--For the Pro 901- the cartridge that came with Printer was 105XL. I purchased some 105XL cartridges and have replaced one already.For the Pro 901-everything thing worked great,Lexmark website even shows it to be compatible.But Amazon shows "NO this will not work for your printer" I'm sure that on other Lexmark printers you may have to change the chip. Maybe this will be helpful to someone

Works great in place of 100 or 100XL carts
As the previous review mentioned, you can swap this cartridge in place of a much higher priced 100 or 100xl cartridge. I just peeled back the label and cut the plastic piece holding the RF ID down. Then swapped it to the new cartridge and placed some scotch tape on it to hold it down.The only downside is that the printer still thinks it is low on ink, since the ink counter doesn't get reset. The printer still thinks you have the old cartridge in there. Oh well. Just ignore it and keep printing.One other tip, make sure you have it pressed in all the way into the printer. Mine didn't work at first, it looked like it was still out of ink. Then I reseated it firmly and it worked.

When installed, the printer says "unsupported ink cartridge." How does it know, seeing as it's just an ink well and not a print head? Under the label at the top is an RFID chip.
